These are great DVDs to add to any history curriculum! They are fun and educational. My children love to see actual places that they have studied, as well as hear additional information that was not covered in their "class." We have the whole series and the children watch them over and over again!

We've used the 'Rome if you want to' DVD for a bit of educational viewing this summer.

The tone is light - the presented shoots about modern-day Rome in a smart car; he's a joker, in a way that children and pre-teens would like, and I didn't mind at all. The content is educational - a whip-through the history - and Christian history - of ancient Rome. This is not a history course on its own, but would complement any study of ancient Rome nicely.

My 5yo enjoyed watching - perfect for 8-11, IMO. Just be careful about talk of 'cannibalism' (one ref) after the siege of Jerusalem. This DVD would be perfect if, like us, you have a pre-school boy watching - he just loves the car!
