Online speech class

Online speech class

I was looking at online degrees and some have a speech class listed. Does anyone here have any knowledge of how it would be set up? Do you video yourself giving a speech and send it to your instructor or something?

re: Online speech class

your question looked lonely :)

While I haven't done one, this article may have insights in the current tech for conference and speech giving

Over at Thomas Edison State University they say
Students should be able to submit digital recordings electronically.

Thanks for the info! Sorry it took me so long to reply. The kids and I took of for our own vacation at my dad's cabin. So peaceful!
I know public speaking is hard for many people and it is the same for me. I was hoping I would be able to just write a speech and submit it but that is probably wishful thinking, lol. I think I knew it wouldn't be that easy.

re: Online speech class

I wonder if they have to video/Skype their speeches?
No idea, but understand the uneasy feelings about public speaking.
Speech was nerve wracking for me in college, but I had a very kind professor at CC. Maybe you can look at online reviews for this course and find out the format?

re: Online speech class

My son took an online speech class for college credit. He had to submit a few speeches that were recorded and submitted via YouTube. There wasn't even an audience, which is admittedly odd for a public speaking course. He actually speaks very well in front of an audience but didn't need one for this course.
