My dh called about 45 minutes ago to tell me he would be home late from work....he was robbed at gunpoint. He works at a grocery store and it is a new job for him (he had been out of work for about a year before). He was very shaken up. To my sisters in Christ, I ask that you please pray for him and his salvation, for the cashier that was also involved and for the robber - he needs Christ, too. He had that emergency appendectomy about six weeks ago, laid off for a year before that, now this. It seems to me that God is trying to get his attention. And pray for my little ones who witnessed momma falling apart when I got off the phone (well, I fell apart as I was praying and thanking God for sparing his life with them). Now, I wished that I had thought better of it and spared especially my littlest one that little bit of drama.....

I am so grateful that God kept him safe.

Praying. And I think its fine for little ones to see you cry out to the Lord. I saw my mom do this many times when I was little and grew up knowing that you turn to the Lord first in any tough situation. =) Hang in there. (((Hugs)))

I am on late tonight and just saw your post and wanted to tell you that I am praying for all of you. I am so sorry that happened! What a terrible thing. I hope they catch the people involved soon.

amen..i'm so glad that God kept them all safe. God saw it, and God allowed it to happen..God is good and always in control. I will certainly pray for you and your husband..to stay calm and at peace through all of this.

I will be praying!!!! My dh works night-crew at a grocery store on the weekends for a second job and I pray for him everytime he works!

Oh my goodness, how terrifying!

Melissa, thanks for sending that -- will probably read it sometime tomorrow. I know your dh went through an incident himself a month or so ago? Things like this sure put everything in perspective.
