Oh...where to begin. Long story short...we're sinking!!!! We tried calling a christian debt counseling service and they said there is nothing they can do for us. Our money going out is way more than what is coming in. We keep going further in the hole because we're having to use our credit cards to pay for normal expenses-groceries, gas in car, bills. We have to use our credit cards for these expenses because the minimum payments on our credit card bills are so high. Vicious, vicious cycle. We have been trying so hard to keep our heads afloat so we don't destroy our credit, but it just keeps getting worse and worse. Is bankruptcy our only option then? How does it work? What should we expect? Would they not let us file bankruptcy because we homeschool and I don't work? I need any and all information you got. I never in a million years would have pictured us being in this situation. But, here we are, so what should we do????

I really cannot answer your questions, but I can put out a couple of things.
Do you have car notes? If so, is your ballance(s) low enough that you could sell one or both of them? If you could get down to one vehicle with no note and only insurance for one that would help a lot. Then when your head is above water save for a second paid-for-cash vehicle.
Is there anyway you can sell your home and downsize or go for something of lesser value therefore smaller note? House to mobile home...that sort of thing.
I know these things are hard in this economy. You may have to take a loss.
Do you have any recreational vehicles you can sell: boat, camper, 4-wheeler, etc?
Do you have extra books you can sell? clothes? have a yard sell. Anything can help.
