this time of year, we always have problems with mice in the house. .we live smack-dab in the middle of 300 acres...with woods/weeds not far from the house. seems like the mice want to sneak into the house, somehow, and avoid the cold outdoors. ugh. I'm setting the mouse traps and getting at least one mouse daily..in the kitchen, laundry room, closet, etc...
we have a cat...what's her problem?
anyone else have this problem?

Yep. DD saw one last night. We have a trap set, but no luck so far. The worst part is dd saw it run under the couch. :o(

It's funny this is being posted because my cat and dog both had me up in the early am today and yesterday (4 oclock) hunting for a mouse. YUCK!

Ugh Susan I had that same problem. I am terrified of mice too so that doesn't help. One night I found one in our pantry (it was 12:30 A.M and my dh was at work) so I had to call a neighbor husband to come help me catch it LOL. (we had two cats who didn't do a thing LOL). We did have traps set but sometimes those little suckers were too smart to use them : ( Luckily, we were able to find out how they were getting in. - Under our sinks (you know the area around the plumbing). So we got that spray which is like expandable that they sell at home depot. -The area around the dryer vent to the outside of the house, we had to seal around that venting because they had access that way. -Where our hot water heater has like a pipe to go outside the house, we sealed around the outside of that as well. -And where our dish tv connection had been drilled through our floor. Knock on wood that foam did it's job and we've been mouse free since. Good luck on catching these little stinkers.

For the past month we have been drowning in rain. That combined with a cold front has run them into our house as well. I have already killed 3 in traps, but one of my weenerbeagles has caught 6. She is hillarius - she will sit stationary, not moving, staring at the stove, waiting for one to come out and then pounce. The other weenerbeagle hasn't got a clue. These are hard to catch too because they are so small - it's like the trap snaps, but they are so small it just goes over them and doesn't touch them.

No mice..but a family of red squirrels in our guest bedroom downstairs (basement). Gramma came to visit and after the first night complained about the noise. Yikes..a mom and 3 cute as can be babies. DH got bit grabbing them by the tail and tossing them out the window. Good Luck!
