Can we please share some breakfast ideas...

re: Can we please share some breakfast ideas...

we take dry oats, mix with pecans, walnuts, almonds, and raisins (sub/add in anything here that suits your fancy...maybe craisins), spread flat on a baking sheet, sprinkle with honey and cinnamon and broil just a moment until lightly toasted (takes not even a minute). Makes a great breakfast with coffee. My dad adds milk to it and eats it like cereal, we eat it more like dry granola. A bonus: the broiling makes the whole house smell great!

sausage patties - cook the night before then make them into sausage egg, & cheese mcmuffins or bagel with egg and cheese. They also work between 2 pieces of toast:)

sausage links - cook the night before - then microwave for the morning. Place two into a slightly toasted piece of bread for "breakfast hotdogs."

My girls like tator tots with eggs over medium on top.

Sam's sells a huge pack of mini quiches and they are so good. I just pop them in the microwave and you're good to go.

You guys are making me hungry!

One of our favorite breakfasts is actually a protein shake. I buy chocolate protein powder (love the Kashi Go Lean brand), but you could even use something like Slim Fast (it's really just a protein powder with extra vitamins). We make a shake in the blender with banana, natural peanut butter, skim milk, and the powder. Very yummy and filling. A great way to sneak some protein into a picky eater.

Another favorite is to make oatmeal in the microwave - oats, a scoop of peanut butter, a scoop of protein powder and some water. I don't even sweeten it. Tastes and smells like you're having "no bake" cookies for breakfast. Mmm. . .

Breakfast is the best meal of the day!

I really had to laugh when I saw your subject. :) The first thing that came to my mind -- fried macaroni!
we live in Estonia, and it is totally normal to have fried macaroni for breakfast here. :) I know most Americans don't like it, or like the sound of it, but thought I would add one more thing, which I don't think anyone else has thought of! :)
Ps. especially good, if you add scrambled eggs to it! :)
