Yes, S. FL here and Im hating my huge electric bills. I need some cooler weather soon. OH, here's one for ya; I own an electric blanket for when it gets 40 degrees which happens twice a year. Woo Hoo (rollling eyes)

starbucklover - ROFL!!! an electric blanket? ok I will admit, I sometimes have to pull out the big guns - meaning the heating pad :) when it gets really cold! (like 40) ok, where are you? I am in Fort Lauderdale, minnie, I thought you were farther south than what you apparently must be. It's still too hot and muggy to open the windows. It's just not pleasant yet. Oh here's another - I absolutely refuse to run the heater in our home, even at the coldest - my dh thinks I am nuts - the coldest it has gotten in our home is 59 degrees, and he said that people up north don't allow their homes to get that cold, but I say it makes us appreciate the warmth all the more (also, by about noon it's around mid-70s in the house so it's very temporary). I do appreciate a certain bit of coldness in the winter! Starbucklover, one more thing - I love your name! I too am a starbucks junkie, and our local target just got a starbucks in it which basically means I automatically blow an extra $3-4 every time I walk through the door. As a result, I skip Target if I can!

Used to live in West Palm & then Margate.
Although I don't miss the humidity or those mosquitoes or crazy S. Fla drivers (young and old LOL).... i do miss the rain & the moisture. Living out west in the desert... everything is brown, rocks for yards, and summers of 120. I too am waiting for our chilly winter of 50 or so when I pull out my mittens :O).

Ugh, I live in N Florida, and I wouldn't really consider this four seasons, but three. Hot, less hot, and then warm...repeat repeat repeat. If someone has ever lived where there is a REAL winter, then N Fl's winter is not a real winter, and not a fourth season at all. We have fall, spring and summer.
We are in the low 80's daytime, and 60's at night. Yes, I love that we can still enjoy the beach, yet I pay for that by having to run the AC through October.
So ready to move to North Carolina!! K

Yep, Heidi, you're definitely south of me. We're on one of the barrier islands between Tampa and Naples. Perhaps I should give you daily updates on how nice it feels to have all the doors open each morning. LOL!

No, heidibee. You don't need to count your lucky stars. Just start counting your blessings... there are so many blessings to be thankful for! As for me, I would LOVE to be in Florida for a few days! Yesterday, we were shivering in our house half the day before we finnaly got warm! Even in the evening, I was sitting at the computer wrapped in a blanket! How would you like to have really chapped hands, because of the cold? Oh well, yes I AM counting my blessings, even though it might not look like it! I have a wonderful mother and father, brothers, sisters, a home, clothes to wear, schoolbooks to work in, plenty of work to do (it would be awful to be bored!), and much, much, much more! Hope this helps. :) Jesus loves you!

Yes, spent by first 30 years in Hollywood area. Loved the easy outdoor living but didn't know what cool dry air was until we moved to Oregon (where we are now).

You ladies are killing me! Electric blankets in Florida???? I live in Kansas where we often see blizzards and below zero temps in the winter and I don't own one of those! :)
A cardigan is not a sweater. Cable knit turtleneck...now THAT'S a sweater. :)
