I posted this on the discussion but someone suggested posting it here. I know we have read about our friend with the husband that has issues and left her with four kids. I know she has been on all our hearts and in our prayers. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to help her. I was thinking maybe we could open an account and each family put in $5 or what ever they can. Any ideas?

Maybe we could find out if she has a paypal account. We could send it (like) to family, then it doesn't cost anything. We would have to make sure that her dh didn't have access to it, though.

jrp- What a great idea. I was trying to think of a way to help, besides praying, but never thought of this. This would be a true act of love to a sister in need. What a wonderful idea. Paypal would probably be the best. Where has Angie been? I've been looking for her to post and haven't noticed anything lately.

wow i messed up that last post. Sorry! I was wondering if anybody knew how this could work? If each family gave$5 or $10 that would probably help. I dont know how to get this done. I dont have a paypal so how do those of us that dont have one donate to that account? We need to have something so her husband cant access it. Does any one know her or live close enough that they could giv e her donated things or money? lets try to help soon as the holidays are coming. Thanks!

I am open to anything anyone wants to suggest. We could all mail her $10 Walmart cards for groceries.....If she wants to email one of us her mailing address...you can share with the rest of us. I'm totally open to that...or whatever.

Does anyone know what sizes her boys need for clothes? She has younger ones and my ds6 has outgrown plenty of things. I also have older boys and more than ds really has to have. I have some great things that I don't want to just give away to anyone if I know someone could really use them. I also have winter gear that I could send but she may already be prepared for that.
I agree that paypal could be the easiest but we could also send money orders, gift cards, etc to a POBOx. Maybe to a close friend or family member until she gets things set up.

I think gift cards are a good idea as well. I think you can actually get a generic gift card that you can use anywhere. I have a toddler and she had a 15mth old i think. I mught also have some things to dend her if she needs them . If any one finds out anything or leves in her area please let us know. Thanks!
