Please recommend American History dvds

Please recommend American History dvds

Hubby enjoys American history. Please recommend a set of dvds that's reasonably priced but historically accurate and interesting. (Not asking much, am I?)

TIA :)

re: Please recommend American History dvds

Well, they are war focused, but much of American History is war so....

Some of the best are the Ken Burns documentaries. The War (WWII), the Vietnam War, the Civil War.

He also did The West, the Dust Bowl, Prohibition, etc. they are all pretty good.

As far as cost goes, I believe most are on Netflix. Some amazon prime. You could buy them in digital format or DVDs there.

my husband really enjoyed the Lewis and Clarke DVD series by Ken Burns. (p.s..buy your set used). PBS series.
