switched on schoolhouse?

switched on schoolhouse?

Has anyone used this? We are currently using a charlotte mason approach to history and love (mom does), but dd feels it is entirely too much reading. It has zapped her love for freetime reading a bit. Has anyone used SOS for history, and what are your thoughts?
Thanks!
Amy

re: switched on schoolhouse?

I used SOS for every subject for 2 months of 9th grade I HATED it!I thought it was boring but i know a lot of people who like it i think you have to add more things then just that because its still ALOT of reading in each lesson a day and your reading it off of a computer screen.

We use it here for Bible (cause I paid $100 for each level and bought 4. Still I will not continue after this year.)

I am definately not a fan.

We are doing History Odyssey and really love it.

There is some reading but I read it to my son while he works on items for the history book we are making to bind at the end of the year. (Accumulation of notebook pages, pictures,, projects, etc.)
