I love summer. My dh takes a day off from our business everyweek until the girls start back. Today was one of those days. He took my dd7 to the water park. My and dd17 went shopping. WE all met at Chili's for lunch and then its off for hair cuts tonight. Now that may not be sooooooooooooooo exciting, but it is for me. I enjoy having him home on the family fun day.

I know what you mean. My dh was home half the day today, and he'll be home all day tomorrow. Of course, we're adding a room on to our house, so it's all work and no play here...but still I enjoy having him home.

My dh started his week of vacation on Thursday night. He ended up having to go in to work on Friday for part of the day, but we have gotten to sleep in two mornings in a row:) Also, we have absolutely nothing planned, and we are not going anywhere. Just a week of doing nothing and enjoying it! How great is that:)

I love having my hubby home on a summer day - we get to 'catch up' as a family.

BUT - how many of you have a hard time continuing on with your school day if your hubby is home during the school year?? I feel so bad, but it's such a distraction - dad is too fun to focus on school work :)

this is true. But it is nice when he takes days off in the school year too. I get to run around and he stays home to school. Its a real eye-opener for him as to what I do. He would never make it a whole week. LOL
