Yes, we are still going, but really altered our plans by going somewhere closer, cheaper, and only going for a few days. This is really just for the kids sake. We are not the family who is always out doing cool stuff, so they look forward to this all year. It is their one and only special thing, we don't really do amusement parks or other day trips.

Yes we are going to keep our plans. We are about 4 hours away to the mountains. My uncle has a cabin that we stay in for free and we will cook our meals. The only thing we are speinding money as far has enjoyment is going to the rock quarry. That is not expensive. Other than that we go on nature trails and water falls. My girls could go see the same waterfalls every year and enjoy it the same amount wach time. I have been saving all my extra babysitting money for this trip.

We kept ours because it involved extended family. We have cut out our weekend trips, though. We used to go away on the weekends a lot, but not anymore. Can't afford it.

We did a history trip with Disney going through Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Williamsburg. But if I hadn't already paid for it last year, we would have canceled. It's not bad for us, however, since we live in a resort town anyway. Really the only vacations we need to take are an occasional ski trip to escape the heat.

Well, we didnt take our usual week summer vacation to Disney this year. I just think it gets to hot to stand in those lines. We are going to do the Vero Disney in Sept. and the Very Merry Christmas like we always do.

I live in an area that has been economically depressed for the last 20 years, so the recession is just a blip on our radar. So, yes, we are still taking a vacation. We don't take big, expensive vacations. Just 3 or 4 nights in a hotel with an indoor pool and cable TV is all my girls want. We're going to St. Louis this year, staying about 15 miles East of the river. We only live 1 hour from St. Louis, so we're not traveling very far.

No - we are still going on our cruise as it's already paid for. We did alter it a bit. Instead of doing 2 land&shore excursions we will only be doing one.

This is only our 2nd "big" vacation as a family. We've only done 1 -3 day trips other than going to visit family.
