I'm looking for an online writing course to help my son with high school level essay writing. Has anyone used Time4Writing, at any level? I've looked at others, but what I like about this one is the relatively short time commitment (8 weeks), and the affordability.
Anyway, would love to hear if anyone as any experience with T4W.
Thanks! Dawn

Dawn, I have ask a couple of times about this and not received any replies. I am looking at it for the same reasons you listed. My daughter did an online writing class a couple of years ago and I loved having her accountable to someone else. It was one that met once a week at a specific time, so she had to be on the computer at that time. It was good, but I think Time4Writing seems a little more flexible and the price is better. Since there isn't a long term commitment, I think we will give it a try. Karen

Hi Karen, Yep, we're going to try it, too. I emailed to ask about repeating the course (if we like it), and was told yes we can. The assignments would be the same, but the essay topic would be different. This actually is what I want...I want my son to write *essays*. Over and over, lol! This is how I was prepared for college, and it served me well (though I probably didn't feel that way at the time!). My ds has done scags of creative writing over the years, and some essay writing. With two years of high school left, I really want to get his essay skills strong. And, like you, I like having my ds accountable to someone else.
Anyway, we'll give it a go! Let's hope it works out for both our families. :) Dawn

Dawn, My daughter has not done enough essay writing either, so this will be great for her. I don't think she will be too excited, but she needs to do it. She actually does better writing for someone other than me. Hope it works out well for you too! We will have to post about our experience later on. Thanks, Karen
