Christian Liberty Press curriculum packages

Christian Liberty Press curriculum packages

Any opinions on these? I feel like going with a packaged curriculum would make things so much easier. The following year, you just move up to the next year's curriculum instead of stressing out, LOL.

So, I'm looking at their 7th grade package and see that it includes Abeka and BJU history. They study both? I'm a bit confused.

Also, are there lesson plans telling you what's to be done on each day and such? Thanks for any opinions, negative or positive.

CLP packages have you choose either the Abeka or the BJU of certain subjects. I am using CLP and love it so far. We are doing 1st, 3rd, and 4th this year. You do have to schedule it yourself. There are no scripted lesson plans. However, I found that I enjoyed scheduling.
It is great for the price involved and they do have choices in some of the subjects on which you want to use.

GRRR... I just lost my whole post!!!

I guess I will just summarize and if you want more detail, let me know.

I've used CLP and liked that everything was included. They are inexpensive and good. The variety of publishers can be a nice thing too.

At the beginning of each grade kit listing, there is a breakdown which will spell it out for you. For gr 7, you have the option of ABeka or BJU for History.

My biggest struggle, especially as a first-time hser, was that there were no specific lesson plans. The kits do come w/ a CLASS lesson planner, which is nice, but you have to fill it in. If you enroll in their CLASS program, I think they give you more but I'm not sure. There are ladies here, I believe, who are more familiar w/ the program who can answer.

If you have specific questions, ask away. I used gr 3 + 5 along w/ a lot of K materials, too.
