We love to read and take things slowly. I like to let dc ask many questions and jump into anything interesting they really like. This can make for some very long days when doing all subjects. I was thinking of breaking them up. example Mondays-english,history,bible,spelling Tuesday-cursive,science,math,writing

Yes we alternate history and science.
Tues and Thurs are science Wed and Fri are history
daily we do math and LA.

I have thought about doing this, but wasn't sure how it would work. Anyone have any input on how it has made a difference once you switched?

Hi,
I do science and history two days a week. It is easier and the day is not as long. I have not quite figuared it out yet. I just pulled my dd from public school last week.
I am trying to find a science curriulum that works for us. Music and art don't seem to get done.
I hope that helps, Sandy

We alternate. I can't imagine doing everything everyday! We do the 3Rs every day and alternate days for history, geo., science, and health. Bible study is first in our day and also at night with Dad. HTH

Yep. We've done it both ways. You know I'm really eclectic in the curriculum we use. And I'm just as eclectic with our subject scheduling. ;-)

It has been nice for me (we used to do both daily) and I just felt like it made the days to long. I'm not using it presently but I've even read of folks doing like a week of Sonlight core and then a week of science. That I never tried though LOL.

I want to do this also. I am not sure about a week off from a subject. I do like the idea of alternating days.
