Lightning Lit, Analytical Grammar, Writing &Rhetoric - Help!

Lightning Lit, Analytical Grammar, Writing &Rhetoric - Help!

I'm needing to make some changes in our curriculum after staying pretty steady for 3 years because some things aren't working and some things I was winging it to teach. But it's a miracle that we stuck with things for 3 years!

So I was planning to use Analytical Grammar and Writing & Rhetoric, but then needed to find a literature course I like. We have never really formally covered literature, just discussed books, but I am seeing a need for this. I really like the looks of Lightning Literature, but will using all 3 be too much? How much writing and grammar are covered?

My students are 18, 15, 13, 11, and 9. They have some learning delays due to asperger's and sensory issues. My 18 yr old will likely not graduate for 1-2 more years due to delays.

I have used Analytical Grammar before, but am not familiar with the other two.

your post looks lonely. I don't have any experience with those programs. and I despise the lack of moderators on this forum to clean sp am bo ts

If you like the looks of Light. Lit, you can always adjust the assignments if you have too much overlap in grammar/composition. I know I did similar strategy with lit guides like progeny press. If they were writing something in other parts of English, I didn't always assign several essays

Hi Crystal,

I hate the spam too! It's crazy.

Thank you for your thoughts. I was able to do a search of the site using the method you had mentioned and found a few posts, and had come to the same conclusion you mentioned.
