Have you considered returning to ACE? You mentioned in your original post how they did well with it, and you also mentioned you desired a mastery approach. ACE is mastery based, and you could have him do the diagnostic test and fill gaps, then move on at whatever level he's at. It's easy to get concerned when you see high school coming down the road, and you wonder if your child is ready for that level work. The most important thing is that he learns math well, and beginning where he's at and then steadily moving forward from there is a good way to go, no matter what curriculum you use to do that.

I agree with the others that MUS is excellent, as I'm using that with my own children, and finding it to be wonderful. However, due to what you mentioned about ACE, it might be something to consider if it's worked well for him in the past. Best wishes! :)

I am actually going to give him the Ace diagnostic test today and we are going to go with it.
