Looking for Bible curriculum recommendations

Looking for Bible curriculum recommendations

I need ideas for a Bible curriculum. Please don't say "just read through the Bible". I get it and we do that. I also want the kids to use a curriculum. They are 5th and 7th grades. We used CLE before and liked it ok. I am also wanting to explore other options. I checked into Ace. It only goes through 6th grade. Rod and Staff doesn't really appeal. I want something that teaches theology well from a protestant perspective. Suggestions welcome. Thanks!

Well, my hands-down first suggestion is usually always Rod & Staff; it was well loved here. ;) But as you mention that one isn't enjoyed much, another thought is BJUP or Christian Liberty Press. CLP is going to be much more affordable (unless you find BJUP used).

Explorers is worth looking into

We are currently using BJUP Bible Truths (not the most current edition but close enough for us), God's Great Covenant (for K thru 6th grade), and Foundations.

The one my dd seemed to enjoy/learn from most during elementary was from Positive Action and their jr/sr hi curriculum is very nice, seems like it will be easy to implement (I do have several of the jr/sr levels but I'm holding off til we finish the other stuff)

Have you looked into Alpha Omega? They have a bible course for different grade levels and in different formats.

re: Looking for Bible curriculum recommendations

We are enjoying Christian Liberty Press. It has 3 levels, at the end of which the kids will have read through the entire Bible. For every lesson, there is a summary and extra information, plus questions to answer. The price can't be beat. It's listed for grade 7-9, but really could be used for a much wider ranger, in my opinion.

I like Bible Study Guide for All Ages

Thanks! I guess I should have added this in my original post. I also want something that teaches the kids how to apply the Bible to their lives and teaches them how to defend their faith.
